Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019: Philipp Plein

lok 15

Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 is in full swing in the one of the fashion capitals of the world.

The OnoBello.com Fashion and Style Department is doing Show Reports on some select designers showcasing their latest collection this season.

According to a review by Vogue’s  Luke Leitch, excepts from it reads:”The menswear featured plenty of black loafers teamed with glittered socks under well cut Jackson suits and shirts, Off the Wall style. There was a red riff on Jackson’s Thriller jacket and a full catalogue of boots, sheath dresses, and bomber jackets heaped with multiple heavily hardwared belts, à la Bad. There was also a hefty side dose of business as usual Plein, including plenty of Plein-patched camo, Plein-styled band T-shirts, and high-top sneakers with LED Plein signs at the heel.

Some of the menswear was pretty good a diamond-check leather track pant and bomber jacket had a mean, slick, sportswear-hit man silhouette and some of the women’s multi-belted looks, while heavily evoking Moschino, were effectively sexy in a totally unreconstructed, objectify-me kind of a way. Hennessy Carolina, Cardi B’s sister, made her Milan Fashion Week debut (48) with an assured saunter.

As somebody quite wise said to me this evening, Philipp Plein understands his consumer. Partly that’s because Plein is his consumer. And his success is such that he shouldn’t and quite rightly doesn’t give a scheisse if some of us stuck-up fashion types can’t, sometimes, take all the heat he generates.”
