EbonyLife CEO, Mo Abudu was left teary-eyed after the screening of her latest executively produced film, Òlòtūré yesterday at the famous JCC Carthage Film Festival 2019 in Tunis, Tunisia.

Sharing her tearful speech on Instagram, Mo captioned “Good morning beautiful people and a happy new month. Every single time I watch Òlòtūré it makes me cry. I hold back and fight back the tears, but I still find I cannot hold them back.

Òlòtūré is a beautiful film, but it’s a hard-hitting film that deals with the harsh reality of human trafficking and prostitution. I have pledged to put our box office revenue back into fighting this horrid crime. I would like to thank the Carthage Film Festival for sharing our story with the world at the historical LE 4 EME ART last night.”

She was joined by some of the movie’s cast such as Omoni Oboli, Sharon Ooja and Omowunmi Dada.

Set in Nigeria, Òlòtūré is the story of a young, naïve Nigerian journalist who goes undercover to expose the shady underworld of human trafficking. See the video below.
