Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a Nigerian non- governmental organization focused on women with the vision “to be the catalyst that elevates the status and influence of women and their contribution to nation building” in Nigeria, is set to hold its 12th Annual Conference on Monday, 4 and Tuesday, 5 November, 2013 at the Zinnia Hall, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
WIMBIZ was established in 2001 out of a desire to support working women to reach their full personal, professional and financial potential.
According to Adeola Azeez (Chairperson, WIMBIZ), the two-day conference will feature industry moguls who will share their first-hand experiences on how women plug into the new economy and stay ahead of competition to attain and or maintain leadership.
Azeez says the caliber of speakers and the networking opportunities that WIMBIZ conferences provide under one roof is extraordinary. These conferences primarily target women in the private and public sectors, but they also reach out to men sensitive to gender issues.
The 2013 WIMBIZ Annual Conference, which is themed “The New Economy… Are you Plugged In?”, will bring together A-list speakers, including Joe Odunmakin, President, Women Arise Initiative; Mo Abudu, Founder, EbonyLife TV, Simon Kolawole, Founder & CEO, GDP Associates and Jumoke Adenowo, Principal Partner, AD Consulting. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Aloma Muktar, will be the Conference Chairperson, while Mrs. Omobola Johnson, Hon. Minister Communication Technology and Mr. Bode Agusto, Founder Agusto & Co will serve as the conference Keynote Speakers.
The 12th Annual Conference will attract over 450 local and international delegates, and will equip them with the skills, tools and information required to advance in their careers and businesses; thereby inspiring and empowering them to be meaningful contributors to economic and national development.
