After a decent outing at the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), The Nigerian Super Eagles have settled with a bronze medal after their 1-0 win against Tunisia in the third place match.
Super eagles striker, Odion Ighalo scored the only goal after an error by the Tunisian defence, before limping off later in the match due to an injury. The 30-year-old forward is currently the tournament’s top scorer with five goals, followed by Senegal’s Mane and Algeria’s Mahrez with two goals each.
Nigeria, who dominated the game, have now won the bronze medal at eight different Cup of Nations’ tournaments.
Meanwhile, Algeria will go againt Senegal in the 2019 AFCON final match in Cairo on Friday.
