Nigerians React To Super Eagles’ Impressive Display Against Brazil In 1-1 Draw


The Super Eagles held five-time world champions Brazil to a a draw in an impressive show down of football in Singapore and football fans have taken to social media to laud the performance.

The Nigerian National team had international friendly against the Samba boys in Singapore on Sunday.

Joe Aribo put the Super Eagles in front in the 35th minute with a fine finish from close range.

The first half ended with the Super Eagles in front and Brazil facing a second defeat to only the second African opposition.

But it wasn’t to be and the Selecao cranked it up in the second half scoring just three minutes into after resumption.

Midfielder Casemiro pounced on a loose ball to poke home after Marquinhos’ header came off the post, with Uzoho beaten.

The draw is the best result the West Africans have secured against the five-time world champions, after losing 3-0 in their last encounter in 2003.

On the back of the impressive showing, football fans have taken to social media to heap praise on Gernot Rohr’s men.
