The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has called on Nigerians not to relent in prayers for peace in the country especially as the 2019 Election draws near.
According to Punch, Ambode spoke on Thursday at the 13th Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony of the Bible Society of Nigeria, which held in Lagos.
The governor, who was represented at the occasion by the Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Dr. Kolawole Verralls, charged Nigerians to ensure that they get their permanent voter cards with a view to electing credible candidates.
He also pledged that his government would continue to provide the enabling environment for peace in the state, while calling on religious leaders to continue to encourage tolerance among their members.
