The co-founder of MAX.ng, Adetayo Bamiduro is our OB Crush this week. The techprenuer is one of the talented minds solving logistics problem in the metropolitan city of Lagos through his e-platform, Metro Africa Express.

Along with his friend Chinedu Azodoh, the MIT Sloan alums, started MAX.ng (Metro Africa Express) in 2015, as a logistics company providing swift and reliable local delivery services to residents and corporations in Lagos.

Building on the success of MAX.ng, the duo founded MAX GoNigeria-based mobility platform that connects users to vetted professional motorcycle-taxi drivers via a mobile app.

It also has a MAXBusiness platform which helps businesses cover their dispatch needs fast and easy. According to Bella Naija, Since its establishment, MAX.ng has been admitted into the Techstars startup accelerator programme in New York, raising almost $1m funding afterwards.

MAX.ng was also runner-up at the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield event in London and named as part of the “Top 12 Global Inclusive Growth Idea” by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Harvard Center for International Development.

Last year, MAX.ng raised a $7 million funding round led by Novastar Ventures, with participation from Japanese manufacturer Yamaha. The company’s eliminating all logistics, payments and technology barriers that have prevented African retail from attaining escape velocity.

Adetayo earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management focusing on Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Adetayo gained experience working at UAC, PwC, Konga and NLNG, before moving on to start his company. He’s a Legatum Fellow as well as a MasterCard Foundation Fellow.
