The ever-creative Kemi Adetiba is our crush for the week and here is why we are helplessly crushing on her.
Kemi a Nigerian Music Video Director is also a filmmaker, and television director whose works have appeared on MTV Base, Soundcity TV, Netflix and more.
Though a daughter of Veteran Broadcaster, Dele Adetiba, she has also made a name for herself in the entertainment industry.
Kemi who started out professionally as a radio presenter with Rhythm 93.7 FM ,Soundcity TV and a hosted for Maltina Dance All for three consecutive seasons, enrolled into the New York Film Academy to learn more on visuals.
She had her short film “Across a Bloodied Ocean” screened at the 2009 Pan African Film Festival and National Black Arts Festival.
She had her first feature film, ‘The Wedding Party’ which was a blockbuster, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), as the opening film of the City-to-City Spotlight on the 8 September 2016.
No doubt this Creative mind has been nominated for series of awards and won a couple of them which include Best Female Video for the song “Ekundayo” by TY Bello at the Soundcity TV Music Video Awards, Best Female Video for the song “Today na Today” by Omawumi at the 2010 Nigeria Entertainment Awards City People Entertainment Award for Best Music Video Director Of The Year (2015).
She also won the City People Entertainment Award for Best Music Video Director Of The Year (2015).
