On today’s episode of OB Cuisine, we’re spotlighting Chef n Shopper’s Yam and Plantain Pottage also known as Porridge for this evening’s dinner Inspo.
This African delicacy is a yummy fusion of Yam, Plantain and Tomato stew or palm oil. According to Sisi Jemima, “It’s a delicious take on the popular Yam pottage also known as Asaro in Nigeria.”
Plantain pottage is another delicacy is eaten on its own but the chef blends the two for balance because the sweetness of the Plantain isn’t as potent.
Also, some recipes incorporate vegetables at the end, this could be a choice of either Ugu leaves, Spinach or water leaves, so feel free to add your preferred vegetables just before time’s up.
