Curry Goat Recipe Meals With Abi OnoBello

Food vlogger, Meals With Abi, is back with a new episode of her vlog and this time, she is teaching us how to the irresistible ‘Curry Goat’.

She says, “This meal is popular in Jamaica, see ehn you must have this at least once in your lifetime. Can be served with plain rice or rice and beans, so so good.”

She followed up on her Youtube, saying, “Curry goat is a meal inspired and popular in East Africa, the Caribbean and India. I added my own twist to it.”

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 lbs goat meat
  • 3 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic power
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • ½ teaspoon Rosemary(Optional)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2/3 teaspoon of curry masala (optional)
  • 2 seasoning cubes 1 Tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt for seasoning
  • 1 medium size onion
  • 3 Habanero pepper
  • 2 bay leaf 4 green/springs onions
  • 1/2 thumb size ginger peeled and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons of oil for searing meat
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 potatoes cut into small pieces
