In today’s cuisine, we’re looking into a simple side dish known as Gizdodo (a mixture of Gizzards and Plantains). Dodo being another name for ripe plantain.
Often served with rice, especially Jollof rice, Gizdodo has become increasingly popular in Nigerian homes and parties. Apart from being served with rice dishes, it makes a perfect “small chops” snack or starter at events.
If you haven’t cottoned on to the Gizdodo buzz or are yet to try it out, then you really are missing out! Belgium-based Nigerian event caterer Ify’s Cuisine shares her take on this filling dish. See here.
