The East African queen Victoria Kimani is back at it again with a brand new EP titled “Afropolitan”.
This seven-track project, which was initially exclusively released on Songa Music streaming app, kicks off with “Wonka” which is a reference to the popular fictional body of work Charlie & the chocolate factory and was produced by ace producer GospelOnDeBeatz, with a video that is already making waves on air. There are a couple of club-destined tunes such as “Should Be”, “ Highest Calibre” and “Boom”. “My Sweetie” picks inspiration and borrows greatly from Bunny Mack’s “My Sweety My Sugar (Let Me Love You)”. TOK’s “Gal You A Lead” also influences the chorus of the closing tune “Not For Sale”.
