Nigerian Music develops day-by-day and its commendable to see that we’ve had some body of works that we can indeed look back and be very proud of. Albums that have embodied the African flavor and style of music, representing us to the core.

On this episode of OnoBello.com Poll, we are looking at Nigerian Classic Albums, we’ve come up with eight (of course there are more!) and you can only choose three, which are they?



2Baba- Grass To Grace.

Grass 2 Grace is 2face Idibia’s (2baba) second solo album. The album sold over a million copies in its first week of release and won him numerous awards including the MOBO award in 2007. It has hits like See me so, True love, If love is a crime, For Instance. It was released in 2006

Game Over is the third studio album by Nigerian duo P-Square. It was released in 2007 and reportedly sold over 1 million copies in the first six days of its release, setting a record in the Nigerian music industry. Furthermore, the album has sold over 8 million copies.

First album of the young lad after signing to Mo-hits, it was released in 2009 and Produced by Don Jazzy.



D’Banj- Entertainer

The Entertainer is the third studio album by Nigerian Afrobeat recording artist D’banj, released in 2008. Production on the album was handled by Don Jazzy. It features guest appearances from Wande Coal, Special Kid, and Kayswitch ‘D Produkt’.




Asa- Asa

The Queen’s Debut album, it was released in 2007, produced by Cobhams Asuquo. It has hot singles such as fire on the mountain, bibanke, Jailer etc.

9ice- Gongo Aso

Released in 2008, Produced by ID Cabasa. It has hit singles such Gongo Aso, Kinda Life, Street Credibility etc.

MI – Talk about it

Talk About It is the debut studio album by Nigerian rapper M.I. … It was released by Chocolate City on December 1, 2008. The album sits at 18 Tracks in total as expected, with guest appearances from Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Wizkid & Blaise and lots more.

Superstar is the debut studio album by Nigerian recording artist Wizkid. It was released on June 12, 2011, by Empire Mates Entertainment. The album’s production was handled by Samklef, E-Kelly, Jay Sleek, Shizzi, DJ Klem, Masterkraft, Q-Beats, Banky W, and Vebee
