Hello Style Revolutionists! We are back with another edition of Designer Focus (#OBDesignerFocus).
The fashion game in Nigeria has really come a long way. Fashion designers in Nigeria continue to push boundaries and release spectacular collections for public consumption each year. From the mainstream traditional clothing to western like wears, the Nigerian fashion industry is now one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
Last week our spotlight was on talented Nigerian Designer Tokyo James.
Today, we shine the spotlight on Sandra Tubobereni, the creative director of TUBO, a womenswear label, best known for redesigning the traditional African bridal attires, chic prêt-a-porter fashion clothing, and distinctive haute couture pieces with amazing silhouette.

Sandra Tubobereni, who was born in May 1991, has a BSC in Economics from Madonna University and a MBA in global financial services from Coventry University. She has always had a fashion background; growing up with a seamstress mother in Port Harcourt she was able to begin her journey of sewing and designing from childhood as she made her primary school uniforms herself.
While in secondary school, Sandra went into the business of sewing school uniforms and day wear for her school mates and started making money from her passion at a young age.
TUBOBride Collection “Her Form”
TUBO burst into the Nigerian fashion scene in late 2014 when she switched from a career in Finance and Business Development to pursue her dream of fashion. In 2016 she released the debut collection of her brand, titled “Le premiere by TUBO” a Spring/Summer collection which featured eye-popping colours, structured pieces and gained her local and international recognition as well as the opportunity to showcase at the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria in July 2016.
Sandra has often defined the TUBO woman as bold, sexy and empowered, a perfect blend of fragility, femininity and strength; a woman who is unapologetically in a class of her own. She has the vision to change the world through fashion and make TUBO a multi award winning international brand present not just on the international runways and high streets but in the wardrobes of stylish ladies.
