Governor of Rivers State Rotimi Amaechi, was on BBC’s Hard Talk recently where he was interviewed by Shaun Ley.

The Governor opened up about issues plaquing Nigeria’s economy and mention that Nigerian government is now looking into the 2nd tier of economy which is Agriculture in order to address the issue of poverty, according to him, Petroleum cannot address the segmented unskilled labour force but Agriculture can. He said the decision is being implemented.
The edition of Hard Talk which was aired on BBC, on the 26th of July also had Amaechi addressing his dispute with President Goodluck Jonathan and how it has affected the Governor’s Forum.
