20-year-old Country rapper, Lil Nas X shocked the world on Sunday after he stylishly announced that he is homophobic via series of tweets. The rapper rose to fame this year after going viral when he posted his initial “Old Town Road” record online. The song climbed Billboard’s country charts before it was removed for being too hip-hop and not country enough. However, he remade the song with Billy Cyrus and it became a smashing hit.

Lil Nas X kicked of the tweets after he posted a video of his song “C7osure” and urged his followers to listen to its lyrics.

He wrote:

“Some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not [going to f— with me] no more. But before this month ends I want y’all to listen closely to c7osure,”

He later shared a video of his latest body of work’s artwork, zooming in on a rainbow projected on a building.

“Deadass thought I made it obvious,” he said.

Apparently the song “C7osure” which he urged his fans to listen to narrates Lil Nas X singing about a desire to live a more authentic life.

The lyrics goes:

“Ain’t no more actin’, man that forecast say I should just let me grow / No more red light for me baby, only green, I gotta go / Pack my past up in the back, oh, let my future take ahold / This is what I gotta do, can’t be regrettin’ when I’m old.”

He further confirmed his claims in a recent tweet, stating that becaushe “he is gay doesnt mean he is not straight”
His declaration has been met with mixed feelings, while some applauded his bravery, some condemned his choice.
