Hello my lovelies, so today am sitting in front of my desk and looking down at my laptop with the not so encouraging amount of work I have to finish up with before the close of business then a thought creeps into my head; why don’t I write something fun for my readers.
Sometimes when you are weighed with pressures of work, the best thing is take off a few minutes off and do something to de-stress, you know what I mean? Which is exactly what am doing now- sharing my look for the day and hopefully you’ll like it enough to want to go get it.
Today, am mostly dolled up in Sunny Rose- a Nigerian fashion label known for women’s handmade jewellery, handbags and ready-to-wear lines.
Here, am wearing a brown polka dot trench dress & Ann-Marie beige/brown handbag with tassels both from Sunny Rose ‘Bird’s Eye’ 2012 collection. I have mix-matched my dress with pink polka dot shoes from Miu Miu.
The trench dress is a classic element any woman needs in her wardrobe. Sunny Rose has worked with fabrics and silhouettes while the Ann-Marie beige/brown handbag is hand woven with embellishments that recreate the harmonious tunes of the swish of birds wings.
The look I was going for is sort of casual chic with an understated element of luxury. I can easily go from day to night in this ensemble, which is what I was aiming for today as I have an early drinks/meeting with a potential client after work and also the Didi Museum photography auction. Hence, the linen fabric gives me the kind of versatility I want.
The leather and snakeskin cut-outs elements in the handbag makes it stand-out and show true Africa creativity.
While the pink polka dot Miu Miu sandals gives an offering of energy, I love Miuccia Prada's clever blend of sophistication and iconic feminine heels. It completes the look I am going for today!
What do you think?

Oh dear! Now refreshed enough to go back into a strategy brainstorming meeting with my team.
