Ono’s Diary: “Rubbin Minds” On Channels TV

Hello readers, welcome to a brand new year and week! This week, schools are back and so is work for most after the long and fun holiday over Christmas, I hope you all enjoyed your break, as it&#39s now time to face the hussle.

Well, Ono’s Diary is back this 2013 and I promise that I am going to be dishing a lot more about myself as the year progresses, I am hoping you will love to see more of me *wink wink*.

Last Sunday 6 January, 2013 was fun, I went on a live TV program and to be honest I enjoyed every minute of it, maybe I should seriously think of a career in Televison, what do you think? Lol…. Anyway, I was invited to be a studio guest on “Rubbin Minds” which airs every Sunday at 3pm to 4pm on Nigeria’s No1 Television station-Channels.

I was happy to be invited to do this as one of my many to-dos for 2013 is to try out new things and go out of my comfort zone and be less shy.

So for the day, I opted for a Butterfly print dress from Lanre DaSilva Ajayi Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, I styled it up with this chunky multi-colour neckpiece, black sandals from Cesare Paciotti and black leather and gold chain mix belt from Marc Jacobs. And of course, I am back to my long flowing locks that goes all the way down to my waist which I love and has come to be one of my three signature hair styles.

What do you think of my look? Is my look TV appriopriate?

Back to what the show is about, “Rubbin Minds” is an influential TV talk-show that has been airing for five years now. It brings together young Nigerians to explore and seek solutions to issues affecting Nigeria as a whole. According to executive producer of the show, Adebola Williams “It’s been five spectacular years, and we’re excited to take this to a whole new level in 2013.” To kick start the year 2013, “Rubbin Minds” has a new host in the person of Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a lawyer on-air personality and event compere, he has been an influential voice for young people across issues – from pop culture to politics and in my opinion a great host for the show.

I was co-guest on the show with Arike Akinbobola- Spice TV presenter, and Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi an OAP with Beat FM 99.9. On our segment, we talked about 2013 predictions in the Entertainment, Fashion and Nollywood film industries. It was quite fun hanging with the gorgeous ladies.
