Osas Ighodaro-Ajibade as Angela

OSAS AJIBADE

Interviewer: You worked with Inkblot in The Department, how was the experience working with them again on New Money?

Osas: Inkblot is certainly family! I’m grateful that ‘The Department’ was my debut into the Nollywood Film Industry so Inkblot will always have a special place in my actor’s heart!

Interviewer:  Tell us the difference between your character in The Department and New Money?

Osas: What a difference and a similarity all at the same time! My character as Tolu in ‘The Department’ was a badass, gun holding, masterminded woman who went after what she wanted. My character as Angela in ‘New Money’ is most certainly assertive, driven and goes after what’s she wants as well but just without the guns and violence!

Interviewer: Did you have to audition for the role?

Osas: Absolutely! I auditioned in front of a panel of people a couple of times. It of course brought out some nerves and pressure but I said a little prayer before hand and let it play all out! Thankful to say- I got the part

Interviewer: One word to describe the producers and director?

Osas: I can’t just use one word!!! Ok, let me use 3…Smart, Professional, and Fun!

Jemima Osunde as Toun

JEMIMA OSUNDE

Interviewer: You worked with Inkblot in My Wife and I, how was the experience working with them again on New Money?

Jemima: It was an absolute delight working with Inkblot again. Working with them is always such a learning experience because I honestly believe they work with the best directors and crew.

Interviewer: Tell us the difference between your character in My Wife and I and New Money?

Jemima: Funny enough I think Ireti and Toun are somewhat similar. They’re both strong willed and definitely stubborn. Toun is just a lot more independent and mature.

Interviewer: Did you have to audition for the role?

Jemima: No I did not have to audition for the role.

Interviewer: One word to describe the producers and director?

Jemima: EXPERIENCED!

Adeolu Adefarasin as Patrick

ADEOLU ADEFARASIN

Interviewer: You worked with Inkblot and Filmone in The Wedding Party series and My Wife and I, how was the experience working with them again on New Money?

Adeolu: I’ve had great experiences working with inkblot and film one. The Wedding Party was the very first film I did when I moved back to Nigeria, so they’ve played a big part in helping my career, so I’m always excited to get on a project with them and I get along well with all the members of the team. New Money was a lot of fun and slightly more intense for me so it was a great experience and the cast and crew were all amazing.

Interviewer: Tell us the difference between the different characters you played in the two films and New Money

Adeolu: Both of the characters I played in the Wedding Party series and My Wife and I were very down to earth well-mannered character and of course in The Wedding Party I’m very clumsy. In New Money ‘Nathan’ is almost like my Alter ego. He is ruthlessly ambitious, very angry and I believe dealing with some insecurities. But it made him a lot of fun to play and I loved the challenge of it.

Interviewer: Did you have to audition for the role

Adeolu: Yes I did. Which was nerve-racking but it is after all an actor’s job.

Interviewer: One word to describe the director and producers?

Adeolu: Wakandian!
