Port Harcourt residents on Tuesday defied the order given by the state governor Nyesom Wike who on Monday said it has prohibited all forms of protest in the state.
Hundreds of #EndSARS protesters came out in full force to push back against police brutality and operations of the now-dissolved Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Videos currently circulating on social media show many concerned Nigerians marching on major streets after they initially assembled at Pleasure Park. The protests is joined by reality TV star Tacha, singer Mr 2Kay and many other activists.
This marks the first time Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State, is holding its first protest since the widespread protest began in the country. They are also joined by residents in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State and Enugu state.

#PhProtest is gathering momentum
Emperor Wike is trash. His only goodwill was fighting Amaechi. We all supported him against Amaechi, bcos we hate godfathers. Rivers State does not belong to Wike. #EndPoliceBrutality #SARMUSTENDNOW #EndSARS #SarsMustGoNow pic.twitter.com/meUWsda6hs
