On Wednesday, a large crowd of Borno residents expressed their dissatisfaction with the upsurge in Boko Haram attacks in the state by booing the President Muhammadu Buhari during his condolence visit.
A circulating video captured the President and his convo as they drove from the Maiduguri International Airport to the centre of the cit were the North-Eastern state residents lined up and shouted in Hausa Bama so! Bamayi!, meaning “We don’t want,” “we’re not interested.”
Buhari, upon returning from a five-day trip to Ethiopia for an African Union summit, paid the visit in response to killing of over 30 people by the Islamist insurgents, Boko Haram.
