MTV Video Music Awards is the most unpredictable awards show on TV, this year’s award took place on the 24th of  August 2014 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. See which celebs rocked the red carpet and which had fashion fails.

Nicki Minaj seemed to be channeling the vibe of her new single Anaconda in this snake-print, sequin mini dress. We thought she looked sexy and loved her retro-inspired hairstyle.

Just in case there was any doubt, Beyoncè is still the queen of the red carpet. She arrived wearing a Nicolas Jebran dress, Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

Is it just us or is J. Lo pulling a Benjamin Button and aging backwards? Her sparkling Charbel Zoe dress wasn’t out favorite of the night—it’s a little Dancing with the Stars—but she looked stunning as usual. She also wore Jimmy Choo pumps, Norman Silverman jewels and a silver python Thalé Blanc ‘Talia Mini Fastueux’ clutch.
