Rita Ora Slammed After Throwing 30th Birthday Party In London Despite Lockdown
British pop star, Rita Ora has come under fire after breaching lockdown laws by hosting a lavish 30th birthday party over the weekend.
According to The Sun, about thirty people attended the secret bash at posh Casa Cruz restaurant in Notting Hill, West London on Saturday. Images showed Ora arriving with some of her showbiz friends including the models Cara and Poppy Delevingne.
The Metropolitan police confirmed they were called to reports of a potential breach of COVID-19 regulations in the area at 9:10pm that day. Rita was seen in high heels, a white satin dress and a coat as she was escorted by security out of the venue.
At one stage, police visited the restaurant and officers were seen peering through the windows and trying to open a heavy-duty security door. Ora, whose real name is Rita Sahatçiu, has not yet responded to the reportsbut is being ripped to shreds online by social media users.
Under UK’s national lockdown, which ends on Tuesday, it is against the law to meet more than one person you do not live with except in specific circumstances. Restaurants should remain closed except for takeaway meals and breaches can result in hefty fines.
Ora joins a long-list of celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Cardi B and more who have faced backlash for throwing parties in the middle of a global pandemic.

Rita Ora really went all out this second lockdown to piss everyone off, first by starring in the nightmare inducing EE advert, now flouting rules the mass majority have reluctantly abided by as it's the right thing to do to have a party for her 30th with her shitty friends. pic.twitter.com/qJb4P60WIn

Why do people with money think they can do whatever they like. I havent seen my family for nearly a year due to covid because I'm looking after my extremely vulnerable mother.makes my blood boil reading about rita ora having a party. Who does she think she is!

For everyone criticising Rita Ora for breaking lockdown laws and having a big birthday party, can I just remind you that she's a celebrity.

Great to see that Rita Ora had a massive 30th birthday party. Being a celebrity makes you immune to Covid19, right? #NOT 🤦🏼♀️ Why do people with more power and status think they’re exempt?! 🙄

Think you may have lost the respect of a lot of people today. Very ill judged decision I think.
