A secondary school teacher, Olakunle Oladeji, 33, who allegedly defrauded four students of their West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE) fees totaling N151, 000, was on Wednesday arraigned in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
The accused, who is a resident of Sango Alagbado, a suburb of Lagos, is facing a five-count bordering on stealing and obtaining money under false pretense.
According to the prosecution, “Oladeji fraudulently collected various sums from four students on the pretext that he would register them for the examination and converted the money to personal use”. The accused pled not guilty according to the Punch News.
