ARISE Fashion Week 2019 has officially come to an end after a 3-day event with top African and international designers showcasing their pieces for the Autumn/Winter 2019 season.
At age 17, Esteban Cortazar was the youngest-ever designer to show at New York Fashion Week. The Paris-based Colombian designer draws influence from his Latin roots and his upbringing in Miami to create his bold and colourful creations.
For Fall/Winter 19, Cortazar’s unique spins on sleek elegance veer towards streamlined city girl vibe. Pieces from the collection include brightly hued ultra-flattering dance dresses, ribbed sweater, shorts, and geometric overskirt. Esteban Cortazar also experimented with skirts over coats, and miscellaneous layerings of T-shirts, tailoring, and lustrous silver pants.
