Stella McCartney, whose collection shown at Paris Fashion Week has been accused of exploiting African culture with the designer’s use of an Ankara print.

Plenty of people on social media were frustrated that this conversation was happening again, without much changing.

Others questioned whether appropriate credit had been given to African designers.

Meanwhile some  were merely bemused that an everyday garment worn by African women had been elevated to high fashion.

And it goes without saying that the lack of women of colour wearing the designs did not go unnoticed.
