Super Eagles Drop Three Places In Latest FIFA Ranking, Remains 3rd In Africa

The Nigerian Super Eagles slipped three places to 45th spot in the latest World Ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Friday.The three-time African champions had moved four places in the previous release back in April but now join Guinea, DR Congo, Lesotho and Seychelles as the African teams with the biggest drops in the standings.

However, despite the disappointment, Gernot Rohr’s side maintained third position in Africa behind the Terangha Lions of Senegal (22) and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia (25).

Morocco [47], DR Congo [49], Ghana [50], Cameroon [51], Egypt [58], Burkina Faso [59] and Mali [62] make up the other top 10 teams in the continent.
