The Governors of Lagos and Oyo State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Seyi Makine have announced the recovery and discharge of ten patients who tested positive for coronavirus.
The news was shared on their separate Twitter accounts on Friday. While those in Oyo were discharged on Thursday, the seven cases in Lagos were released from the hospital on Friday.
As of April 9, 2020, Nigeria has recorded 288 confirmed COVID-19 cases, more than 50 recoveries and seven deaths.
I bring you more good news from our Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. Today, 7 more patients; 3 females and 4 males were discharged to reconnect with the community after a full recovery and having tested negative twice consecutively for #COVID19

1. Yesterday, three confirmed COVID-19 patients were discharged after receiving their second negative test results. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to five. So, there are currently six active cases.
