The two WDBJ television journalists- Reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward who were shot and killed in Moneta, Va. on Wednesday morning were both in romantic relationships with other people at WDBJ, according to Mike Morgan, who works in the station’s promotions department.

Parker dated evening news anchor Chris Hurst, and Ward was engaged to producer Melissa Ott who was in the control room watching the killings.

A third person Vicki Gardner, executive director of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce was injured during the live television interview by the gunman, a former employee of the TV station who shot and killed himself hours later.
