It was a robust debate. Myself (Ono Bello) was one of the six guests Vanguard Allure magazine invited to join four of their team members, the other guests were Shaun Manuel (Fashion Designer), Odun Ogunbiyi (Journalist), Bimpe Benson (An executive in an oil services and founder diva support) and Dr. Vivian Oputa (MD Derma Care Medical).
Vanguard Allure’s team members at the debate were Remmy Diagbere (Editor), Jemi Ekunkunbor (Deputy Editor), Yemisi Suleiman (Assistant Editor), Latasha Ngwube (Contributing Editor) and Fatima Garba (Correspondent).
We literarily brought the roof down as the ayes and nays stuck to their guns. The management of the posh Casa Lyda Cafe, Ikoyi, Lagos had graciously reserved for us their Italian food section, allowing us to run argue as hard as we could before the restaurant began to fill out.
We began by first looking at the Nigeria’s Same Sex Prohibition Act as promulgated by the National Assembly. Then, we looked at God's Law as it pertains to the Christian and Muslim faiths. At the end, we came to two conclusions.
