Mr. Tony O. Elumelu C.O.N., Former Managing Director of the United Bank for Africa, Chairman of Heirs Holdings and Founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation keeps putting Nigeria and Africa on the global financial map, as he on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, addressed the United Nations’ General Assembly and Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), on the invitation of a panel chaired by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, on the topic, “The Role of Partnerships in the Implementation of the Post-2015 Development Agenda.”
Mr. Elumelu gave the keynote address and outlined his views on the role of the private sector in the Post -2015 Development Agenda. He was the only speaker from the private sector to address the Forum which was attended by the UN Secretary General and the Presidents of the General Assembly and ECOSOC as well as all 193 representatives to the UN General Assembly.
