Tory Lanez has finally been charged with shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion during an argument that ensued earlier this year.
According to a press statement released on Thursday October 8, the Canadian rapper is accused of shooting at Megan Thee Stallion’s feet, hitting her, after she left an SUV during a fight in the Hollywood Hills on July 12.
He faces two felony charges — assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The complaint states that Lanez “inflicted great bodily injury” on Megan Thee Stallion.
According to LA County District Attorney’s office, Tory’s arraignment is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, and if convicted in the case, the rapper will face a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison.
This comes two weeks after he denied shooting Megan in his newly released album, “Daystar.”
