The united sounds of Africa tour, a musical project that brings the best of Africa’s music living legends vocalist, artists, composers, together on a series and harnessing the diverse African cultures on all music formats and platforms globally.
The music however seeks to promote unity and connections amongst Africa and the United States by working with new and existing partners to create music and cultural connections with their individual brands in the with a view of creating a global music agenda.
Top names in the contemporary African urban and hip-hop scene, the United Sounds of Africa (USA) will kick off their first ever North American tour in August, 2012 with shows in selected locations. The tour, facilitated by Interglobe Entertainment Group (IEG) and Live Nation, will introduce music fans on this side of the Atlantic to current African artists including the “African Queen singer Tuface Idibia, recently profiled on CNN as one of “Africa's 10 Biggest Stars” and winner of the BET Network's 2011 “Best African Artist” award.
Main acts on the tour includes Likes of Chocolate city’s lead act MI, Brymo, Other artists include Timi Dakolo, J Martins and Jesse Jagz.
The tour is scheduled to hold in the following locations
i. Aug. 1 – Houston, TX – House of Blues
ii. Aug. 3 – Atlanta, GA – Center Stage
iii. Aug. 6 – Washington, DC – Howard Theatre
iv. Aug.7 – New York, NY – Irving Plaza
v. Aug. 9 – Toronto, ON – Opera House
vi. Aug. 10 – Chicago, IL – House of Blues
vii. Aug. 12 – Los Angeles, CA – House of Blues
