If you’ve ever wanted to get your hands on a piece of Victoria Beckham’s fashionable wardrobe, now’s your chance – and it’s all for an amazing cause. The pop star-turned-designer is set to sell of more than 600 items from her personal wardrobe to raise money for charity.
Victoria is raising money for the charity mothers2mothers, which is working to prevent the transmission of HIV from mothers to their babies in South Africa.
Victoria made a visit to the country earlier this year and met with the founder of the amazing charity, and the women that it helps.
Speaking of the cause, she said: “After spending just a few days with these remarkable women and learning more about the charity from Mitch, and his lovely wife Annie Lennox, I wanted to do as much as I could.
“It really was a life-changing experience; I’ve never experienced anything like it.”
Victoria hopes that by getting involved she will not only raise money but also awareness of this crucial cause. Her outfit donations include some of her most famous items, such as those she wore in her Spice Girls dates and pieces from appearances with husband David Beckham.
Victoria continued: “I laughed a lot when we were going through my wardrobe as the pieces hold so many happy memories for me, David and the children.
“A lot of the clothes have been specially designed for me by the most talented designers and I’ve loved wearing them, however I feel it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy them now.”
