Watch Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde As She Makes US TV Debut In VH1 Series, “Hit The Floor”

Nollywood superstar Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde debuted as a Hollywood star in the 5th episode of hit TV Series “Hit the Floor” which aired last night on VH1. It was a small role but hey, like she tweeted – “don’t despise the days of little beginnings,” She played Akon&#39s wife, Omatelo, at a fundraising.


Though her role was small but it comes natural to this Time Magazine featured Icon. One can almost see her muttering “piece of cake” with the way she played out the role and even matched the American “R” emphasis perfectly in her diction.

“Hit the Floor” follows the lives and loves of the Los Angeles Devil Girls, the premiere dance team in all of professional basketball. At its heart is Ahsha, a sheltered young woman who joins the team against the wishes of her mother Sloane, who knows this treacherous, tempting world all too well having been a Devil Girl herself. Olivia is the shrewd squad manager, Jelena is the star dancer who won&#39t let anyone else share the spotlight and Pete Davenport is the former All-Star who&#39s come back to coach his old team.

The 5th episode that was subtitled “Keep Away” stars Caitlin Carver, Omotola Jalade, Hina Khan, Kimberly Elise, Taylor Paige, Katrina Norman, Charles Moss and more, follows the Santa Monica Pier, as they get set for a Devil Girls performance. Meanwhile, Jelena (Logan Browning) hatches a plot to create a toxic love triangle, and Ahsha (Taylour Paige) tries to unearth secrets from Sloane&#39s (Kimberly Elise) past.
