Monday, May 2 has been declared public holiday by the Federal Government to commemorate the 2016 Workers’ Day Celebration.
Disclosing this to pressmen, the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), in the statement which was released by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung, congratulated Nigerian workers for “their resilience, hard work and commitment to the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari, despite current challenges.”
The workers were urged the workers to continue to support President Buhari in his fight against corruption and also in his aim to ensure security of lives and property; stabilize the economy through creation of jobs and diversify of the economy.
