2016 Budget Reportedly Missing At NASS, Buhari & Saraki Meet Behind Closed Doors

Pres. Buhari presenting 2016 budget to NASSThe 2016 budget proposal submitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari is missing, reports Daily Trust.

The N6.8 trillion budget, which was presented to the joint session of the National Assembly on the 22nd December, 2015 by the President, was reportedly announced missing by Senate Leader Ali Ndume during a closed door session that lasted 90 minutes.

Punch reports that Senate President, Bukola Saraki and President Muhammadu Buhari met behind closed-doors at the Presidential villa in Abuja, minutes ago.

The Senate President’s visit reportedly came a few minutes after news broke out that the 2016 Budget document had been declared missing by the National Assembly.

Saraki, who was in a 30-minute meeting with the President, declined to comment when queried by Pressmen as to the location of the budget.
