OC Ukeje Bags Double Honours At Nollywood Movies Awards, Rita Dominic Wins Big Too

The Nollywood Movies Awards held over the weekend in Lagos and it was indeed a celebration of the Nigerian Movie Industry as the stars came out for a night of fun, glitz, and glamour and of course awards.


The biggest winner of the night ended up being actor, OC Ukeje as he ended up winning the most coveted prize of the night in the male category – Best Lead Actor for his role in the movie ‘Hood Rush’ – and also the raffle draw to determine who went home with the brand new Nissan Almeria salon car.

Other big winners include Rita Dominic who got the Best Lead Actress award for her role in the movie ‘The Meeting’, which she also produced and which also won awards in the best director and best make-up. Funke Akindele’s Maami landed her the Best Indigenous Actress award while also winning that for the Best Indigenous Movie. The movie – Phone Swap also won big, getting the nod for the overall Best Movie, Best Cinematography and Best Original Screenplay.
