As suggested by her recent posts on Instagram, Lucy Edet seems to be having a hard time adjusting to her new-found life of fame.
The Big Brother Naija star who caught the attention of many because of her several altercations in during the reality TV show recently talked about quitting social media for good due to constant pressure from fans.
In a series of now-deleted Instagram posts, Edet went ahead to explain how people have made the act of rudeness a norm and how they laugh at others who are on the receiving end.
“I get that being rude is a norm for some, and we encourage it by laughing at these mean jokes, when you are on the receiving end one of these days, maybe, just maybe you’ll understand how not funny it actually his,” she wrote.
She also submitted that trolls on social media have a role to play in the death of depressed people, writing, “You people are the reason people die of depression, because God forbid they show that they’re sad or unhappy or even angry, talk more of imperfect in pictures, you people will still talk and say a person should act a certain way in public etc,
The grill chef stressed that she is not going to impress anyone at the cost of her own happiness or her mental health, noting that she would rather take an exit from social media. “I am not going to live my life to impress people at the cost of my own happiness or mental health, e get as e go be, I’ll leave the social media for you people,” she concluded.
