On Saturday, Beyoncé surprised millions of fans with a double release out of nowhere. She dropped her latest single, ‘Formation’ alongside the video which featured her daughter, Blue Ivy.
We’ve gotta admit, the Queen is back! (Not that she ever left). In the powerful music video addressing #BlackLivesMatter, police brutality and hurricane Katrina Beyonce wowed in multiple jaw dropping outfits with fresh hair looks to match. Though she mentioned a Givenchy dress in her lyrics (probably referring to her MET ball dress ), her and her dancers wore mainly Gucci and some Chanel throughout the video.
In the scene with the submerged police car, she wore a shirtdress from Gucci’s SS16 collection with Fallon earrings.
In another cut channeling creoles complete with parasol twirling, Beyonce rocked a white Zimmerman SS16 Victorian style lace dress, a corset by Palace Vintage and earrings by Fallon. She sent out southern gothic witch vibes while throwing up her middle fingers in a black vintage hat, tights by Wolford and Warner Bros. vintage clothes. Her necklaces earrings and bracelets were from DylanLex and chokers by Fallon.
She also wore a burgundy custom made puff-sleeved bodysuit and Chanel Pre-Fall necklace for the hallway dance scene and an Alessandra Rich SS16 dress with hat by Chanel and earrings by Fallon for the parlor scene.
For the balcony scene, she rocked a tulle organdy Gucci SS16 purple, mint green and teal gown with tropue l’oreil detail and Fallon earrings. The dance scene in the empty pool saw her and the dancers rocking a coordinated Gucci-inspired gear in ash.
The parking lot scene with her braided hair swinging out the window saw her slay in a white Rousie Assoulin bodysuit and a Fendi fur. Queen Bey and her crew also tapped into the denim trend with blue jean ensembles.
The video was styled by Comopolitan fashion market director Shiona Turini, Nigerian American designer, Ade Samuel and stylist Marni Senofonte.

Just because she can, Beyoncé also debuted a fashion line – Formation clothing, inspired from the video with quotes from her lyrics including “I twirl on them haters”, “Slay”.
