Burna Boy’s latest album, Twice As Tall is Spotify’s most streamed album in Nigeria for 2020.
The Afrobeats star who recently earned the singer his second Grammy Awards nomination made history secured the number one spot when his album – which features American rap star, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, as well as his mother, Bose Ogulu, as its executive producers, and it has now been confirmed that so many people listened to the track, that it has topped the list of Spotify’s most streamed album for 2020 with over 64 million streams.
The list also features Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ in second place, whilst Tiwa Savage’s ‘Celia’ holds the third and Omah Lay’s Get Lay’d fourth position respectively with 10 million streams.
Adekunle Gold’s, Afropop Vol 1 rounded up the top 5 list with 9.6 million streams. 2Baba’s Warrior album followed with 9.18 million streams while Davido’s A Better Time album garnered 9.15 million streams, making it the seventh most-streamed album in Nigeria.
Emerging music act, Fireboy’s Apollo album ranked eighth on the chart with 7.93 streams. Also, Kizz Daniel’s King of Love album ranked ninth with 7.69 million streams and Niniola’s Colours & Sound album is the 10th most-streamed album in Nigeria this year with 7.61 million streams.
