Calabar International Jazz Festival: Performances From Eric Benet, Jonathan Butler, Salvador Sang, Asa, Darey, Bez & More Stars

Calabar International Jazz Festival turned out a convergence of both highly talented jazz musicians from around the world and jazz die-hard fans who thronged the big auditorium, at the popular Cultural Centre in Calabar, Cross River State from March 29th to 31st, 2013.

Nigerian artistes who graced the stage include Cobhams Asuquo’s protégé Bez who could not resist the temptation to perform his folk influenced Jazz song “Stupid Song,” also, Darey was so electrifying that he got Senator Florence ItaGiwa off her seat to make some dance moves, others include Asa, Tari and more.

International music icons like Eric Benet, Jonathan Butler, Jimmy Lulu and Salvador Sango also added colour to the intriguing event with electrifying performances.

The event had notable people in the public arena including the Minister for Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Edem Duke, Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Chief Akin Ricketts, Olatunde Thomas, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Managing Director of Tourism Bureau, Michael Williams, Events and Sponsorship Manager, MTN, Dola Bamgboye and a host of others.

Also spotted at the event that lasted till the early hours of Monday 1st of March include Mo Abudu, Kate Henshaw, Dakore Akande and IK Osakioduwa who were anchors at the event.
