Complete Fashion is one Nigerian magazine that stands out from its counterparts. The colour and print quality is relatively better and it is evident that features are carefully thought through with a young, edgy and modern twist to it. This I guess can be attributed to the magazine’s young team under the editorial leadership of Franka Ekwy Asindi and a bandwagon of writers, stylists and photographers hungry for real fashion.
The current issue has two covers and features Tanzanian Super model Millen Migese on one side and Big Brother All-stars winner Uti from Nigeria on the other side.
On the cover Migese wears a black sexy lace dress accentuated with a chunky bead necklace, she’s also sporting long locks and full bangs. Though she looks like a real-life Barbie doll and the picture is overly retouched, nonetheless it’s another brilliant work from photographer Moussa Moussa. In the fashion spread Millen wears three different print ensembles from Nigerian designer Jewel by Lisa. All looks are styled by Ebun Aboderin.
Uti on the other hand looks dashing in a three-piece suit and sports his signature dreadlocks. The inside spread features Uti in two relaxed looks plus full cover photo all put together by the magazine’s style editor Isibor Ogbe and photographed by Moussa Moussa.
Another part of the magazine that catches our attention at ONOBELLO.COM is the magazine’s extra, a free insert that features a seven page fashion spread titled – Edgy Innocence. The feature was shot in on the surreal plains of Olumo rock in Abeokuta, Western part of Nigeria. The model wears eight different all white looks from upcoming Nigeria designers April by Akunbi and Wana Sambo. It is also shot by photographer Moussa Moussa and styled by Ebun Aboderin.
