The popular Sabo market in Sagamu, Ogun State was reportedly engulfed in fire in the early hours of Tuesday, January 28th 2020.
According to The Nation, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, as many shops and properties have been affected. As of the time the new broke, the fire was yet to be put out.
An eyewitness told Sahara Reporters than it started at 3:00am. According to Ogun State Television (OGTV) who covered the news later on in the day, the Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun has paid a visit to the scene along with the traditional rule of Remo land, Oba Babatunde Ajayi and reassured the market sellers not to panic along with a quick reconstruction process.
