Hooray! A Weekend of Treats- ARISE Magazine Fashion Week Lagos 2011
The countdown to the shows begins with only a few hours left. Though, there were a few glitches today Thursday March 10 2011, as the press accreditation process of local and international media reporters/journalists started rather late than the scheduled time. The venue for all the shows, Federal Palace Hotel, on Ahmadu Bello Way Victoria Island was however very much bubbly with everyone in high spirits.
Models were seen doing last minute fittings for designers, stylists, fashion lovers and the production team were all working together to make sure everything goes according to plan. The official Arise Magazine fashion Week (AMFW) dinner/Business of Fashion-Africa Conference scheduled to start at 7pm was also postponed to tomorrow Friday March 11 at 8am.
Another new development is the sale of tickets to see the shows and performances. Though we were previously informed by announcements and advertisements in Thisday newspapers that the tickets will be given out for free to intending guests who register their contact details at the thisdaylive website, we have now been informed that tickets will be sold, according to the facebook status of the Arise Magazine page, “owing to the overwhelming oversubscription, tickets are on sale Thursday at GTBank branches in Ikoyi and Victoria Island, both in Lagos”.
Tickets can now be bought at the following GTBank branches:
Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos
Ademola Alakija, Victoria Island, Lagos
Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos

Tickets will be issued at the bank on payment and seats are reserved on first pay basis. It is advised to get yours early to avoid any disappointments as they are selling fast and there are a limited number of seats available.
