LAGOS State Governor, Mr BabajIde Sanwo-Olu has stated that his administration has succeeded in clearing mound of filth on major streets and highways across the state in its almost 100 days in office.
The governor made this declaration through the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, who spoke at a press conference held in Lagos, expressing delight at the modest achievements so far recorded by his administration.
“The most visible impact of the course of action this administration has taken so far in respect of the environment is the disappearance of heaps of garbage on major streets and highways across the state,” Omotoso said.
Omotoso disclosed that the Lagos State Blue Box Recycling at the Simpson Transfer Loading Station, Lagos Island would be launched soon, saying this would be done to sustain current environmental regeneration momentum in the state.
