Popular Nigerian rapper, Biglo is dead. According to multiple reports, the veteran musician lost his life on Saturday December 26 after contracting COVID-19.
Before contracting the virus, the singer had been down with a kidney-related sickness and was being cared for in the United States.
The music star — real name Lotanna Udezue — had taken to social media to ask fans to pray for him after he got coronavirus. “After so many months of dodging it, it finally catches me… Covid19. Please pray for me,” he had shared on Facebook.

Tributes have been pouring in from friends and colleagues. Fellow veteran artiste Jazzman Olofin said the rapper fought bravely for his life and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
“Dear BIGLO, heard the sad news last night you passed away. You fought bravely all the way but GOD Almighty knows best. We’ll keep the fire burning. Rest in peace, bro,” Olofin wrote in a post on Instagram.
Biglo was popular especially in the early 2000s with hits such as Delicious featuring fellow musician, 2shotz. Biglo’s kidney-related ailment has been in the spotlight since 2018 and it was reported that he was undergoing dialysis at a nursing home in California.
