Earlier this year, Kanye West revealed he had the coronavirus. His wife Kim Kardashian is now opening up about what it was like taking care of him during his tough battle.

In an interview with GRAZIA, the reality star revealed that Kanye became diagnosed in mid-March when the pandemic began in the U.S, explaining that she had to care for him during that time and it was not easy.

The beauty mogul added that it was difficult because as he fought the virus and tried to recover, she was also trying to take care of their four kids—daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 2, and sons Saint, 4, and Psalm 1—alone.

She said, “Kanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on. It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no one else in the house to help. I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn’t feeling good.”

“It was a challenge because it was so unknown. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time,” Kim recalled, later adding that “Maybe our planet needed a break.”

In July, Kanye West told Forbes that he had the novel coronavirus and it was not an easy thing to handle. “Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it,” he told the magazine.

“I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!” (Drake tested negative for the coronavirus back in early spring.).” Kanye West added that he was praying for a cure, though, even if it’s not a vaccine.
