Tailored Jackets, Vests, Trousers, Tuareg Inspired Skirts & Turbans In Loza Maleombho Autumn/Winter 2012/13 Lookbook

Loza Maleombho is a women’s ready-to-wear line established in New York in 2009, the brand is also in support of women empowerment social and economic trades in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Creative designer of self named design brand, multi cultural background greatly influenced the brand’s aesthetics as she was born in Brazil, raised in Cote d’Ivoire and the United States. Her worldwide exposure at a young age has inspired her eclectic vision and expression throughout her brand.

The Autumn/Winter 2012/13 collection pictured here focuses on tailored jackets, long and cropped vests with curved piping. Tuareg’s inspired full skirts and low-slung trousers are paired with stylish turban and backless dresses are added for accent. You will once again find Kente fabric, which is hand woven 100% cotton from Akan’s tribe Ghana but also from Baule’s tribe in Cote d’Ivoire. Along with that are Ankara and wax print for culturally eclectic and eco-friendly mix.
