He further urged the Nigeria Army to send some soldiers to him as about 20 volunteers who are helping him in the sharing of the meals is not enough to control the crowd. However some users found the involvement of soldiers unnecessary while others chimed support for him.
See the tweet and reactions below.
@jidesanwoolu @followlasg We just need a little assistance with officers to help us control the crowd and get them to understand social distancing while picking up the food. Please help with Police/Army/Lastma. 10-20 solid officers would be amazing. Pls RT folks

Banky W wants soldiers to come and enforce social distancing before they serve food, is it a relief camp in Vietnam?

After being part of a crew that has shared food to hungry Nigerians roaming the streets, I can say that "crowd control," is definitely a challenge.
The last time, fights almost broke out as they crowded the vehicle aggressively.
Whether Army or Police, give it to Banky W.

LOL. TwitterNg is a funny place, people will see five tweets, ignore the four, and hold on to the only lone where you will make an error on something. So, in that Banky W thread, the only thing you saw there is where he mentioned the army? Y’all are not serious.

Even when people genuinely want to help Nigerians, we will still find reasons to complain and condemn them. someone can lay down their life for this country and the people will complain that he/she didn't die well. Me I no know Wetin Banky W do to deserve all this bashing again.

Banky W’s tweet shows how dysfunctional Nigeria really is.

The attack on Banky, @BankyW is misplaced. We’ve seen our politicians use our gallant men for not so gallant purposes every four years, and nothing happens. If some of the best amongst us decide to seek their help for a good cause; such request shouldn’t bring condemnation.

Here is a Celeb who rather than doubting, doing "buyfollower"giveaway on SM, or mockery Govt efforts on Covid-19. He chooses to support alongside his friends/volunteers. Now, seeing it becoming tight, he make a request for help so as to continue helping the needy….He is Banky W

Why are we calling on the Nigerian Army for policing duties? The effect of military regimes on our psyche may keep manifesting for long long even after we’ve gone. Then we’ll be back to complain when govt uses the military to intimidate citizens during elections. This is a no.
